Frequently asked questions about Crypto Savings Wallet

What is a crypto savings wallet?

A crypto savings wallet is a wallet that lets you store a digital asset, and this asset regularly generates yield. It's like a savings account in a bank, but with crypto.

What coins do these crypto savings wallets supporrt?

Currently they support 20 regular cryptocurrencies (BTC, BNB, XRP, BCH, LTC, LINK, XLM, TRX, EOS, PAXG) as well as 5 stablecoins (USDT, USDC, DAI, TUSD, PAX).

For how long can I store my assets in crypto savings wallets?

For any period you like. There are no limitations. The longer you store your assets in crypto savings wallets, the more you earn every day (due to the compound interest effect).

What are stablecoins?

Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies with the exchange rate pegged to the exchange rate of traditional currencies (e.g. dollar or euro), or to the price of a commodity (e.g. gold or oil).

What should I choose to store, stablecoins or regular cryptocurrencies?

This depends on your goals, possibilities, your risk profile and other factors. The fiat yield of a crypto savings wallet depends not only on the interest rate, but on the way the exchange rate of a chosen coin behaves as well. Stablecoins are pegged to a traditional asset and normally are a lot less volatile than regular crypto coins. For instance, the price of USDT is always very close to $1. The exchange rate of a regular crypto coin can fluctuate considerably. However, together with increased risk, this also offers a chance of a higher yield. Of course this is not investment advice.

How much interest is paid, and when, where, and in which currency do I get it?

The interest payment depends on the wallet yield and the balance of the wallet at 12 PM UTC. You can see them on your crypto wallet overview page. Calculation formula: interest payment = wallet balance x ((1 + wallet yield) ^ (1 / 365) - 1). The yield is paid out daily at 11 PM UTC to the same crypto savings wallet where your asset is stored. It is paid out in the same currency. The first payout takes place no sooner than 24 hours from your first deposit to this crypto wallet.

Example:

  • You first funded your crypto savings wallet on September 1st at 10 PM UTC. First yield payout will be credited to this wallet on September 2nd at 11 PM UTC.

  • You first funded your crypto savings wallet on September 1st at 11:45 PM UTC. First yield payout will be credited to this wallet on September 3rd at 11 PM UTC.

What is the wallet yield?

This is the annual percentage yield (APY) of the crypto savings wallet. It includes the compound interest effect (reinvestment of the yield received), unlike annual percentage rate (APR).

How can I calculate earnings from a crypto savings wallet?

You can use our calculator or calculate your earnings with this formula:

Earnings = initial asset amount x (((1 + wallet yield) ^ (1/365) - 1) ^ number of days the asset is stored)

How can I fund my crypto savings wallets and withdraw funds? What external crypto wallets can I use?

Two deposit and withdrawal methods are available: ADV wallets and any external crypto wallet.

Your ADV wallets have a few deposit and withdrawal methods of their own. Please note that ADV wallet deposits and withdrawals are not available for all crypto savings wallets. Go to the deposit/withdrawal page to see all options for every crypto savings wallet.

For crypto wallet deposits and withdrawals, you can use any external crypto wallet you may have, including your wallets on a crypto exchange.

When and how often can I fund my wallets and withdraw assets?

You can make deposits and withdrawals anytime however many times you want.

Are there any deposit and withdrawal amount limits?

We do have minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts. They vary depending on currency and method. You will always see the limits on the deposit/withdrawal page. There is no maximum deposit amount limit.

As for withdrawals, the daily limit is $20,000. Upon request, it can be increased to $500,000.

How do I increase my daily withdrawal limit?

To do this, just let ADV know in the support ticket area. Advcash will send your information to Nexo. Usually they need around 24 hours to process these requests, but sometimes it may take a little longer.

What are the deposit and withdrawal fees?

Fees depend on the currency and the method. Please see the deposit/withdrawal page. Once a month, you can make a free withdrawal from any crypto savings wallet. The counter of free cryptocurrency withdrawals is reset on the first day of each month.

How do deposits work?

Follow the rules below when depositing, otherwise you may lose your assets irreversibly:

  1. Make sure the coin you are sending matches the wallet you selected above.

  2. Send coins only via their native blockchain network:

BTC: Bitcoin

ETH, USDT, USDC, LINK, DAI, PAX, TUSD, HUSD, PAXG: Ethereum, ERC-20 standard, BNB: Binance Smart Chain, XRP: XRP ledger, BCH: Bitcoin Cash, LTC: Litecoin, XLM: Stellar, TRX: Tron, EOS: EOS

  1. Do not send wrapped coins like wrapped Bitcoin, wrapped BNB etc.

How do withdrawals work?

Follow the information below when withdrawing, otherwise you may lose your assets irreversibly:

  1. Make sure you enter the destination wallet address carefully. We recommend copying and pasting it. After pasting check the address once again. There is malicious software that can replace data in your clipboard.

  2. Make sure your crypto wallet can accept transfers via the matching blockchain network:

BTC: Bitcoin, ETH, USDT, USDC, LINK, DAI, PAX, TUSD, HUSD, PAXG: Ethereum, ERC-20 standard, BNB: Binance Smart Chain, XRP: XRP ledger, BCH: Bitcoin Cash, LTC: Litecoin, XLM: Stellar, TRX: Tron, EOS: EOS

  1. ETH withdrawals are made from smart contracts. Crypto exchanges Bitfinex, Huobi and Hotbit do not accept ETH deposits sent from smart contracts.

  2. If your crypto wallet does not have a TAG/MEMO, but there is such a field in the withdrawal form above, then you can fill it in as you like, for example "1".

  3. We are not responsible for any assets sent to a wrong address.

I got a deposit address, can I re-use it (use it for more than 1 deposit)?

No, you need to initiate each new deposit on the deposit/withdrawal page.

How long does it take for a deposit or withdrawal to complete?

Processing time of deposit and withdrawal transactions depends not just on us and our service provider Nexo. It also depends a lot on the status of the blockchain network and the way your crypto wallet works. Due to all that, we can only give a rough estimate of the time. Usually transactions take 1 hour or less. When the blockchain network is overloaded, processing may take longer.

Transaction parts that depend on us and Nexo are processed within minutes. For security reasons, a number of blockchain network confirmations are required, and this takes most of the time. Number of confirmations varies depending on the network. See the deposit/withdrawal page for details.

How do I check the status of my transaction?

Up to date transaction status is always shown on the wallet transaction history page.

What do I do if a payment did not reach its destination?

Sometimes payments may be delayed. Mostly it happens when the blockchain network is overloaded. Make sure you followed all the deposit/withdrawal rules listed above and on the deposit/withdrawal page.If you do not follow these rules, the assets may be lost irreversibly. If you are sure you followed all the rules and it has been more than 24 hours since your transfer, contact ADV in the support ticket area.

For withdrawals, please allow at least 48 hours. In rare cases, a compliance check may be required. You do not need to contact Nexo. We will do it for you, if necessary.

Can I cancel a transfer?

No. Nobody, including ADVcash, is unable to cancel a blockchain transaction due to the nature of blockchain networks. This is why it is very important to double check every crypto payment before confirming it.

I sent a payment to a wrong address, what do I do?

Crypto assets sent to a wrong address cannot be recovered. If you know the owner of this address, contact them and request a return of your coins. Please always double check all details before confirming any payments. We are not responsible for coins sent to wrong addresses.

I did not specify any Tag/Memo when sending XRP, XLM, BNB, EOS, or specified a wrong one. What should I do?

If you did not specify the Tag/Memo when making a withdrawal from your crypto savings wallet, or entered wrong details, please contact the support service of the crypto wallet you used.

If this happened when you were funding your crypto savings wallet, contact our support service and provide transaction details: date, time, amount, the correct Tag/Memo.

Please note that not all crypto assets sent with mistakes can be recovered. We are not responsible for coins sent to wrong addresses and/or with wrong Tag/Memo information.

Important: sometimes to restore your crypto assets we may need to install or update wallet software, import or export private keys etc. These actions can be performed by authorized personnel only, and are monitored for security. The procedure may take over a month.

I got an email from Nexo, what do I do?

Advcash support and compliance departments handle all communication with Nexo. You do not need to contact Nexo on your own. If you received an email from Nexo, please contact ADV to investigate.

Can I link my account with Nexo to Advcash crypto savings wallets, and vice versa? Can I move assets between the two platforms?

Currently crypto savings wallets in Advcash and Nexo are separate products, your accounts with each platform cannot be linked. However, you can transfer your assets between these wallets. To do that, use either wallet as an external crypto wallet when making your deposit or withdrawal.

How safe is all this? Where are my assets stored, and are they insured?

The security of your assets is guaranteed by a $375 mln custodian insurance agreement with BitGo, Ledger Vault and other custodian providers. Your assets are held in multi-signature wallets and cold storage at BitGo, a renowned and audited qualified custodian. It is compliant with Cryptocurrency Security Standard Level 3 as well as SOC 2 compliant. You remain the owner of the crypto assets placed into crypto savings wallets.

However, you are responsible for safeguarding your account by means including but not limited to controlling all login credentials, using a strong password, enabling two-factor authentication and using other security tools.
